This is an Update from
Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.
This is an excerpt from their Facebook Post on January 5, 2021
Over the past 10 months, our team has closely monitored the pandemic and worked with the City of Charleston and local and regional agencies to plan our 2021 event. Throughout, we remained cautiously optimistic about hosting SEWE in February and consulted with the appropriate organizations to arrange an event that would align with the health and safety guidelines established by our local leaders. However, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country, we have reached a crossroads in our planning process. We are faced with having to make decisions that could compromise the safety of our patrons and the integrity of our event.
We met with our Board of Directors to assess the current state of public health and review the plans and outlined safety protocols for this year’s show. After extensive evaluation and deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.
We made earnest efforts to plan a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our loyal attendees, artists and exhibitors, but have concluded that we cannot ensure the health of our guests without sacrificing the spirit of SEWE. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during these challenging times and we hope you know how much your support means to us as we move forward together."
East Cooper Ducks Unlimited will not have an in person event this spring. Charleston and Mt Pleasant are not approving events. We will have an online auction and raffles. Please check back and as soon as we have put together a plan we will post it and email those on our contact list. We are as disappointed as you are that we will not be able to host this great event this year. We want to thank you all for your support in the past and look forward to seeing you all very soon.
